So I thought I'd write a follow up to let every one know how it went. Thanks for being interested
Anyways, I think it went really well. I had to go get a number at the entrance to this empty room with polished concrete floors and high white walls. So I signed up and got number P32 (P for photography) and I sat in that room before moving into the hall past an other set of doors in the room. And I had 4 people in front of me. One came out and it was my friend Ania, then someone else I guess, but I didn't notice, and they called in two people 30 and 31. So I went in like five minutes after. Most people took about five, maybe 10 minutes to present their portfolios. SO I went in, and I sat by this cool blond lady in the centre of the table they set out. And I was really nervous, but I got some work out and started spreading it out and the woman looked at it, really intently. And within five minutes she was asking for more stuff. So I brought out almost everything nice thing I made in the last two years. Everything I brought with me basically. She liked my photos and I quote "I love your work" although said rather calmly. She still said it! Then she asked if I worked in any other mediums, so I showed her drawings, which she thoughts weren't so strong, and not worth including in the portfolio. But I also showed her some of my assemblage. And she must of really liked that, because she said I should expand into sculpture because my assemblage was promising! Now that makes me proud!! So it took about a half hour to go through all her comments and the work she made me pull out. And I came out with a list of artists and art movements to check out, an idea of how to formulate my portfolio, and a new medium I can allow myself to explore now.
So I think it went pretty well. Oh also, she said I was at a "very strong starting point". So hopefully that means I have a good chance of getting in!
